One of the “Big Four” ( alongside New York, Milan, Paris ) fashion weeks has come to end for this season. It’s alway such an honour to attend shows in London Fashion Week and see firsthand all the creative collections the designers come up with. Although fashion week is supposed to be all about the designers showcasing their work, it’s increasingly become about street style looks. What bloggers, celebrities and editors are wearing.
I’ll admit that it can be intimidating looking for what outfit to wear to such a major event. There seems to be a lot of pressure for choosing an outfit that can stand out in the eyes of those judging the catwalk collections, and still of course many front-rowers choose looks which seem over the top. As much as I love dressing up I don’t see any point in buying outfits that I’ll never wear again just for a photo op in fashion week. I opted for a smart casual look with gold accessories and shoes.
I had been eyeing these pleated camel trousers from Arket for the longest time and finally decided to get them and wear them for the first time in #LFW. They are definitely already one of my best purchases for F/W 18. A simple logo tee goes a long way and this one from Weekday perfectly complimented my entire look. As for the most eye-catching piece of my outfit: my bag. This stand alone piece got heads turning and paps flashing. It completely upgraded my style and took it to the next level.
