Each time I visit Florence of Italy, I fall more and more in love with it. Romantic, enchanting, simply irresistible, this city is work of art, a nod to Renaissance. Despite its small size, there are numerous things to do and see. From architecture to fine cuisine and incredible history. This was my second visit and this time I was able to explore more in my own time. Even though the heat was unbearable ( 36C + ), I managed to go to museums and galleries I had missed before, walked in its charming little streets and do some wine tasting!
My #OOTD was pretty simple, monochromatic and bold. I opted for a red slip dress ( which are a staple of mine during the hot summer months ), matching in color slides and my favorite Cult Gaia bamboo bag. I absolutely hate wearing heavy jewellery in the summer so I just accessorised with a dainty coin necklace and added hair clips.
I might look so cool and breezy in this look but in total honesty I was a hot, sweaty mess. The ridiculously high temperatures kept me constantly reaching in my purse for my mini Evian facial spray and misting my body and face every 5 minutes. My feet were also super swollen from the heat and walking for so many hours I had to lift them up once I reached the hotel. Florence is a beauty and all but I would suggest the ideal months to visit are end of August onwards ,until June.
