I may not be the best when it comes to hair care, but I can certainly recognize an amazing hair product when I see it. But before I tell you about the miracle product, let me give you a good briefing of my hair. My hair belongs to the "tricky" category. Maybe annoyingly tricky. I have gone from super kinky afro natural hair to relaxed, then damaged relaxed, after I decided to transition back to natural ( which didn't work out ) and now I am relaxed again ( but my hair is in a healthy state again after a lot of protective styling ). You see relaxed hair needs extra special care because of its fragile state which is why I'm always on the hunt for great -not just good- hair care products. Over the years I've tried a variety of brands with products ranging from good to really bad. But I had never come across a 10/10 until now. Today's post is all about the Hermes or Louis Vuitton of hair care, Kerastase. On one of my recent shopping trips, I decided to get a little splurgy . I have read so many good reviews on Kerastase products, so I decided to take the plunge and see for myself.
Kerastase Resistance Bain Therapiste shampoo is a balm-shampoo for very damaged, over processed hair. This shampoo has a unique jelly-like texture and it's specially formulated with an innovative Fibra-Kap formula to deliver keratin associated proteins (KAPs) to repair hair fibres and the internal architecture for healthy-looking, hydrated locks. Renews split ends and brittle strands by enveloping hair, increasing strength and protecting from further damage. This is the first shampoo that I have ever used that has made my relaxed hair feel silky. Even without using any conditioner afterwards, I am able to get a comb thru my hair easily. And it does not weigh my hair down which is a major plus. This shampoo is meant to be used in conjunction with the Therapiste primer first (yes it's a pre shampoo treatment) and then the Therapiste mask. I didn't get the other two because I wanted to test the shampoo first but since the shampoo worked fabulously I will definitely order the rest of the line. It really is the holy grail of shampoos!
