Every woman should own at least one pair of statement shoes. Whether it be high heels, flats or sneakers you need a pair of conversation starters in your wardrobe. On the hunt for summer statement pair, I stumbled upon these beauties by Manolo Blahnik. Owning a pair of Manolo’s has been in my list for the longest time. Carrie Bradshaw’s Hangisi Silk pumps are the ones I was going for initially but once I tried them on I decided I needed something more “casual”. The Hangiri’s are perfect but I’m saving those for my wedding.
My Manolo mules are pretty comfortable for their height. I wasn’t expecting that and was able to walk around the city with ease. The only thing about these shoes is that you need to break into them. Even though they’re mules, I found them to be a bit narrow at first. I tried both sizes EU 39 and 40 with the latter being too big so I got the 39. However after wearing them a few times they kinda opened up and are much more comfortable.
My outfit of the day is simple. Silk white tank top and mom jeans. Adding the shoes really elevates the look and definitely makes it much more interesting. I finished off with minimal gold jewellery and my fav Cult Gaia bamboo bag.
