Although they appeared in SS 14, the culotte trend is still going strong in SS 15.Seen on a number of runways from Celine to Stella McCartney culottes are pretty popular right now.These voluminous short pants aren’t exactly the easiest to style and most think they are unflattering.However I will share with you a few tricks to pull them off!
- Wear them with heels (or platforms)! Unless you’re tall like Giselle or Naomi these type of pants rarely look good in flats.
- Go for a high waist pair and combine them with crop tops or simply choose a regular top and tuck it in (like moi!)
- Structured/tailored culottes look best
- If you are not very sure, start with a solid color then if you’re comfortable go for prints
- The pant has to hit above the ankle
